Master’s Student in Economic Geology, 2nd year

About me

I am an economic geologist interested in the formation and distribution of magmatic-hydrothermal ore deposits.

In 2023/2024, I:

  • worked as a contract geologist with Ivanhoe Electric,
  • presented a poster at the October GSA Connects meeting in Pittsburg,
  • continued to work on expanding my dataset using Apatite (U-Th)/He, Apatite Fission Track, and Zircon (U-Th)/He analyses from porphyry copper districts of SE Arizona.

Education

I graduated with a B.S. in geology from Oregon State University in 2022, where I participated in undergraduate research on using Ar-Ar thermochronology on detrital sandstone grains to determine sediment provenance.

Project Description

Supervisor: Dr. Hervé Rezeau

My master's thesis is focused on understanding the exhumation history of multiple porphyry copper deposits and their associated plutons within SE Arizona. I use U-Pb geochronology, U-Th/He and Fission-Track thermochronology, and thermobarometry to constrain the tectonic history of my study areas.
