Pedro Brito

I am originally from Brazil and completed my BS in Geology with a Minor in GIS & Technology at the University of South Florida, where I graduated magna cum laude in 2025. During my undergraduate studies, I completed multiple internships with Freeport-McMoRan at the Morenci and Tyrone mines, where I gained experience in geologic mapping, structural modeling, geological sampling, and mine geology workflows. My passion for geology began at an early age, inspired by my father, who is also a geologist and works in mining consulting.

 

Outside of academics, I enjoy playing soccer, hiking, and traveling.
