About
I am an exploration geologist from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I obtained my Honors Bachelor’s degree in Geological Sciences at the University of Buenos Aires in 2017. After that, I started working in the industry, particularly in the Argentinian Andes, looking at porphyry and high-sulfidation epithermal systems.
I am now an MS student under Dr. Hervé Rezeau’s supervision in the Department of Geosciences at the University of Arizona. My research will focus on characterizing the mineralization present in the Filo del Sol deposit, a Cu-Au porphyry and high-sulfidation epithermal Cu-Au-Ag system, located in Andean Cordillera between the Argentinian and Chilean border. The aim is to better understand the interaction between the porphyry and epithermal environments by characterizing the ore and geochemical signatures of these.
When I’m not busy looking at rocks I spend my time either practicing or watching outdoor sports such as soccer, rugby, hiking and surfing. I also enjoy listening to and playing music.
Education
2011-2017: Honors Bachelor’s in Geological Sciences, Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Professional experience
2018-2019: NGEx Resources – Junior Geologist
2019-2024: Filo Corp. – Project & Chief Geologist – Filo del Sol project
Project Description
Supervisor: Dr. Hervé Rezeau
The focus of my research will be the ore assemblages and geochemistry characterization of the different mineralization styles present in the Bonita and Maranceles zones of the Filo del Sol Cu-Au porphyry and Cu-Au-Ag epithermal deposit. This will encompass different technical areas such as detailed petrography, mineralogy and in-situ geochemistry.
